Custom Cutting Boards

Long grain. End grain. Made around your kitchen.

Long-grain and end-grain cutting boards with distinctive wood combinations. Walnut, padauk, purpleheart and oak are the main woods I work with; each board has its own layout and character.

The ends of the wood fibers form the cutting surface, revealing a block-like grain pattern. These two views show the same board’s cutting face and raised feet underneath.

The story behind the work

About the collection.

This collection brings together my long-grain and end-grain cutting boards. Each board is its own project, with the wood combination, proportions and details chosen for the piece.

Walnut, padauk, purpleheart and oak are the main woods I use across these boards. Not every board contains all four; the combination varies by design.

The first photographs show a striped long-grain board and an end-grain board from both the cutting surface and underside. More finished boards and workshop progress photos can be added to this collection as the work grows.

These are examples of completed boards, not a live stock list. A custom inquiry starts with your preferred grain style, wood combination, approximate size and any details you would like to discuss.
