About the maker

A name with a story.

I’m John Carter. The JC is straightforward; WoodCraft comes from my love of woodworking and a nod to my years playing World of Warcraft.

JC WoodCraft is about turning your ideas into something personal—from custom signs and cutting boards to one-of-a-kind woodworking projects. A custom idea can start with a sketch, a measurement, or simply something you’d love to see made.

This page will grow alongside the work. For now, the best introduction is a conversation about what you’d like to make.

The approach

Your idea comes first.

Here’s how we can begin shaping a custom piece together.

Start with a conversation

Tell John what you need, what you like, and where the piece will live. A rough idea is enough to start.

Work through the details

The right dimensions, materials, finish, and budget all depend on your particular project.

Let the material lead

Wood has its own grain and character. The design should bring out what makes each piece distinctive.

Have a piece in mind?

Tell John what you’re imagining. You don’t need a finished design to get started.
